August 16, 2002: The magasine, 'Chat' reports (This is quite old news): It's nice to see fame hasn't gone to the Lord Of The Rings star Elijah Wood's head. On a flight from LA to Vancouver, he noticed some young fans pointing at him and jumping up and down. While a lot of stars would have asked the air stewards to keep them away, Elijah invited them to sit next to him. He signed autographs and told them silly jokes for the whole journey. What a nice Hobbit...
August 7, 2002 - Sorry i haven't updated!!! Not much news comin in! Anyways, i'll get on with it. A fan on the LiveDaily.com message boards got to meet Elijah Wood at the Comic Book Convention that was being held in San Diego this past weekend. Justine writes, "Well, only about two or three people actually got to take a photo with Elijah and Billy because the only time they saw them was at the presentation. BUT ME, I got to go to the Green Room with Dominic and I got to meet them there! Ahhh! I got a hug and a kiss from Elijah and man, he is so NICE and has BEAUTIFUL eyes. I was so freakin' excited." August 3, 2002 - Heat Magasine has a small piece in the 'ON or OFF' page:::: ON! Elijah Wood & Franka Potente. Rumours have reached us from across the pond that Frodo Baggins has been stepping out with Franka, a German actress whose next gig is starring oppostie Matt Damon in The Bourne Identity. Franka is 6 years older than Elijah - and half an inch taller, fact fans.
July 12, 2002 - Hi! Sorry i havnt been updating for a while, i woz on holiday wiv my mates! Anwayz, back to the point. E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Elijah was spotted with guy and gal pals at Ralphs on Sunset in Hollywood. He wore jeans and a retro Grateful Dead jersey-style shirt and asked where he could pick up microwave mac 'n' cheese.
June 23, 2002 - Entertainment Weekly quotes Franke Potente commenting on her 'Try Seventeen' co-star and rumored boyfriend Elijah Wood, who reminds her of Frodo. "Maybe in the beginning, but not really. He doesn't look like Frodo. His feet are way smaller."
June 19, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports reps for Franka Potente are insisting that she and Elijah Wood are just "friends" and denied marriage reports.
June 14, 2002 - Star magazine reports Elijah Wood is so smitten with his new girlfriend Franka Potente, he's planning to pop the question. Pals of Elijah say he has confided he's found his soulmate and wants to marry her after only two months together. But Elijah may not get the chance to make a move if his concerned friends manage to change his mind. Many believe it's too fast and are trying to talk him out of it.
June 4, 2002 - The New York Post reports Elijah Wood had a romance with is 'Try Seventeen' co-star Mandy Moore, but began dating another woman on the film, 27-year-old Franka Potente. Liz Smith said, "The palpable heartbreak of young Mandy has been hard for co-workers to watch, as Elijah and Franka moon around over one another on the set." For the record, Mandy finished 'Try Seventeen' awhile ago and has denied dating Elijah.
May 22, 2002 - IMDB.com quotes Elijah Wood recalling a story of his celebrity status not interfering with his personal life... well, not quite. He laughs, "I was having a conversation with someone in Los Angeles about how glad I was not to be so famous that it changed my life, when, all of a sudden, a girl jumped on me and started trying to kiss me on the lips!"
May 22, 2002 - Star magazine has a photo of Elijah Wood squeezing girlfriend Franka Potente's arse *hehe*.
May 19, 2002 - Yahoo has a photo of Elijah from Wednesday, May 15, waiting outside Grauman's Chinese Theater in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles for the premiere of 'Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones'. Wood was waiting along with friends in lawn chairs. Check out the picture here.
May 16, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Elijah Wood was spotted "cuddling up with German actress Franka Potente at Toi on Sunset. The lovey-dovey couple shared platefuls of Thai food and giggled like ripe teenyboppers."
May 11, 2002 - US Weekly includes a photo of Elijah Wood kissing Try Seventeen co-star Franka Potente while the two had lunch in West Hollywood. There's some more photos of the message board that were posted also.
May 9, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Elijah Wood was spotted catching the Buffalo Daughter and Big Sir show at The Troubadour on a Saturday night in West Hollywood. Wood stood in line with pals and was wearing a brown tee and antique faded jeans and when he arrived, he stayed at the bar for the opening act before heading outside for a smoke.

February 5, 2002 - A subject that has people talking is Elijah's love for alcohol. The actor admitted to not being able to get into a club and peeing at a urban landmark water fountain. Wood explained, "We were out in Wellington, Liv (Tyler), Orlando (Bloom), Dom (Monaghan) and I, we couldn't get into this club - we were underage - and Dom says: 'I've got to pee,' and I had to piss too. So we climbed this . . . I don't want to say what it was as people from Wellington would know." Meanwhile, during the actor's 21st birthday recently, the actor got so intoxicated at a bar in West Hollywood, he threw up all over in the Sloan's Bar bathroom and had to be helped out. An insider revealed, "He was a real mess." Wood shares another vice of smoking, which he reportedly took up when hanging out with Josh Hartnett during filming of 'The Faculty.'
